Resolution No. 2271RESOLUTION NO 2271 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM THE TERMS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS TO ALLOW REMOVAL OF FRONT YARD LANDSCAPING AND INSTALLATION OF A CONCRETE CIRCULAR DRIVEWAY IN A RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY ZONE VARIANCE NO 80 2 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS HEREBY FINDS RESOLVES DETERMINES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS 1 That an Application was filed for a Variance from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Cypress to vary from Section 9 3 B of said Zoning Ordinance to allow removal of front yard landscaping and installation of a concrete circular driveway at a single family residence located at 10211 Tanforan Drive Cypress in the RS 6,000 Residential Single -Family Zone 2 That the City Council, after proper notice thereof duly held a public hearing on said application as provided by law 3 That the City Council hereby finds that a That strict or literal interpretation and enforcement of the specified regulation would deprive the applicant of privileges enjoyed by the owners of other properties in the same zone b That the granting of the Variance as conditioned will not constitute the granting of a special privilege inconsistent with the limitations on other properties in the vicinity classified in the same zone c That the granting of the Variance will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare or materially injurious to properties or improvements in the vicinity 4 The City Council does hereby GRANT said Variance subject to the conditions attached hereto as Exhibit "A " PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of July, 1980 ATTEST CITY C RK OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS )7(.0;444*- MAYOR OF THE CITY 0 CYPRESS I DARRELL ESSEX City Clerk of the City of Cypress, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 28th day of July, 1980 by the following roll call vote AYES 4 COUNCIL MEMBERS. Coronado Lacayo, Mullen and Rowan NOES 1 COUNCIL MEMBERS: Evans ABSENT 0 COUNCIL MEMBERS: None 42i41 KE C-1'fY OF CYPRESS �a�/—x•14 EXHIBIT "A" VARIANCE NO 80-2 1 The applicant shall apply for an "excavation permit" prior to commencement of any work within the public right of way 2 The new driveway apron shall be constructed to meet Standard Plan No 209 of the City of Cypress subject to the approval of the City Engineer. 3 The six foot, six inch (6' 6') concrete paved area directly north of the existing drive shall be removed and landscaped as indicated on the applicant's plot plan 4 The new driveway, including the required driveway access to the garage structure shall be constructed of concrete 5 The new driveway shall not be used for the storage of vehicles and vehicle accessories including boats, camper shells and trailers 6 Landscape plans shall be submitted to the Planning Department for review and approval prior to issuance of an excavation permit
