A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CYPRESS RELATING TO THE AMENDMENT
OF A FEE SCHEDULE TO BE USED WITH THE
LATEST EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress has adopted
Ordinances requiring various building, electrical, plumbing, swimming
pool and grading permits, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinances requires that fees for such permits shall
be set by Resolution of the City Council and
WHEREAS it is necessary to update the fees required for Building
Permits
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Cypress they do find and declare as follows:
Section 1• That the schedule of fees referred to in Section 303
of the Uniform Building Code and Ordinance No 612, adopted by the
City Council on April 10th, 1978, shall be amended for the issuance of
Building Permits as follows.
Item I - Building Permit Fees
A fee for each Building Permit shall be paid to the Building Official,
as set forth in Table A, which is based on the estimated value of the
work In addition, a Plan Check Fee shall be paid for each Building
Permit issued

Item II - Plan Checking Fee
The fee shall be.
1 Fifty percent (50%) of the Building Permit fee as calculated
in Table A for projects with valuations up to and including
two -thousand dollars ($2,000 00)
2 The fee shall be sixty percent (60%) plus twenty percent
(20%) for energy conservation, for projects with valuations
up to and including twenty-five thousand ($25,000 00)
3 The fee shall be sixty-five percent (65%) plus twenty-five
percent (25%) for energy conservation for projects with valua-
tions exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000 00)
Item III - Special Inspection Fee
A fee may be charged by the Building Official as required for any
investigation request by an owner or authorized agent of such owner
1 Open patios - Ten dollars ($10 00) plus permit fee
2 Enclosed patios - Fifteen dollars ($15 00) plus permit fee
3 Room additions - Twenty five dollars ($25 00) plus permit fee
Item IV - Building Valuation Data
The Building Valuation Data is based on information furnished through
Building Standards including architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing
and mechanical work supplied by the International Conference of Building
Officials, representing the average cost of most building projects This
data is revised periodically
A valuation of miscellaneous items are shown in Table B.

Section 2• The table of valuations and schedule for permit and plan
check fees as set forth in this resolution, shall be effective on September
11, 1980
