RESOLUTION NO 2278
1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
COMMENDING THE CYPRESS WEST ALL-STAR FEDERAL LITTLE
LEAGUE TEAM
WHEREAS, Jeff Branson, Mike Cote Richard Crawford Jeff Dechert, Donny
Dubry Robbie Evans Michael Ferraiz Todd Gushea Derek Haas, Scott Milne,
Dan Phillips Andy Reyes Steve Skrabak, Mark Steinert and Jeff Willis were chosen
for their outstanding athletic abilities and good sportsmanship as members of
the Cypress West All-Star Federal Little League Team' and
WHEREAS, Eric Fox, John LaBouff and Brian Reno were chosen as alternates
and
WHEREAS under the direction of Manager Steve Skrabak and Coaches Jim
Phillips, Don Davidson and Larry Gregory, the boys dedicated many long and hard
hours to practice' and
WHEREAS, the Cypress West All-Star Federal Little League Team is the first
team in the history of Cypress Little League to win four consecutive games in
All-Star tournament competition and concluded the tournament as First Runner-up
for the Championship, and
WHEREAS the Cypress West All-Star Federal Little League Team has brought
distinction and pride to the community of Cypress
NOW, THER4FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cypress City Council hereby commends
MANAGER STEVE SKRABAK and COACHES JIM PHILLIPS, DON DAVIDSON and LARRY GREGORY
and ALL MEMBERS OF THE CYPRESS WEST ALL-STAR FEDERAL LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM for this
excellent athletic achievement
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of thN City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the llth day of August 1980
