Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the Mayor to transmit a letter to the Orange County Department of Harbors, Beaches and Parks supporting the City of Seal Beach's request for financial assistance in rebuilding of the Seal Beach Pier. Consideration of Reintroduced Ordinance Amending Section 18-9 of the Cypress City Code Relating to Regulation of Political Activities of Employees. Recommendation: That the City Council approve the first reading of the Ordinance by title only, title as follows, amending Section 18-9 of the Cypress City Code relating to political activities of employees: An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Cypress and Acting as the Ex-officio Governing Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District, a Subsidiary District of the City, Amending Ordinance No. 556 and Chapter 18, Section 18-9, of the Cypress City Code Relating to the Establishment of a Personnel System. Continuation of Consideration of Holder Street Across the Stanton Channel, City of Cypress Project #8303-10. Recommendation: That the City Council 1) Instruct staff to proceed with the opinion survey, and 2) Appropriate $1,200 from the Fund Balance of the General Fund to Account No. 11-4208-201.07. Consideration~of Acceptance of Construction Survey for the Community Development, Eighth Year Program, Bishop Street from Watson Street to Walker Street, Alley Between Nelson and Newman, Alley Between Walker and Graham Streets, Watson Street Between Lincoln Avenue and S.P.R.R., City of Cypress Project No. 7938-10. Recommendation: That the City Council 1) Approve the contract change from $1,974.00 to $2,209.00, and 2) Accept the construction survey contract as being satisfactorily completed in accordance with speci- fications. Consideration of Acceptance of Installation of Electric Meters at Oxford Junior High School, City of Cypress Project No. 8202-90. Recommendation: That the City Council 1) Approve the contract change from $6,065.00 to $7,129.00, 2) Appropriate $1,064.00 from the Fund Balance of the General Fund to Account No. 11-4186-433.34, and 3) Accept the installation of seven (7) electric meters at Oxford Junior High School, Project No. 8202-90, as being satisfactorily completed in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. Consideration of an Application for an Original Alcoholic Beverage License Filed by George Y. Sidrak, D.B.A. N & G's Market Beer & Wine, 6281 Ball Road, Cypress. Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the issuance of a permit for Private Patrol Services in the City of Cypress to Blue 2000 Security Patrol, Inc., 1636 W. 8th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90017, subject to the provisions of the City Code relative to the operation of private patrol services.
