Resolution No. 2477RESOLUTION NO 2477 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO 81-38 - WITH CONDITIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS HEREBY FINDS, RESOLVES, DETERMINES, AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS 4 77-( 425 1 That an Application was filed for a conditional use permit in accordance with the provisions of Section 17 2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Cypress to establish a business conducting the cleaning and waxing of automotive vehicles, as well as the retail sale of cleaning and waxing products, at 9177-9181 Valley View Street 2 That the City Council, after proper notice thereof, duly held a public hearing on said Application as provided by law 3 That the City Council hereby finds that. a The proposed location of the conditional use is in accord with the objectives of the Zoning Ordinance and the purpose of the zone in which the site is located is To facilitate development of areas designated for commercial and light industrial uses on the General Plan These regu lations are intended to encourage commercial and industrial growth through the precise development plan process This zone permits flexibility while stimulating imaginative creativity, to produce viable business parks for the benefit of the community b The proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety or welfare or be materially injurious to properties or improvements in the vicinity in that (1) Adequate off-street parking will be provided both in front and at the rear of the subject building with rear access provided for customer vehicles to the service bays (2) Motor vehicles may not be left for extended periods of time in the front parking area which would reduce available parking for other retail businesses within Lakeshore Plaza. (3) The subject use should be compatible with neighboring businesses and attract retail trade to the shopping center c The proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance except for approved variances or adjustments 4 The City Council DOES HEREBY GRANT said conditional use permit, subject to the following conditions. a The applicant shall satisfy all necessary requirements of the Orange County Health and Fire Departments b All business operations must be conducted completely within the building c Floor drainage must be provided within the building for all water runoff d Customer vehicles left on the premises for servicing shall be parked in the westerly (rear) parking lot Vehicles shall not be left for extended periods in the front parking area thereby reducing available parking for retail businesses in the center PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular meeting held, on the lith day of January 1982 MAYOR OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS 42 ATTEST: CITY 4te42ITY OF CYPRESS STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) SS COUNTY OF ORANGE ) ()'•l '7 7 -- "Y I, DARRELL ESSEX, City Clerk of the City of Cypress DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the said City Council held on the llth day of January 1982, by the following roll call vote AYES 5 COUNCIL MEMBERS.
