CONSENT CALENDAR:
All matters listed on the agenda under "Consent Calendar" are to be considered
by the City Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion approving
the recommendations listed on the agenda.
13. Motion to Introduce and/or Adopt All Ordinances Presented for Conside-
ration by Title Only and to Waive Further Reading.

Consideration of Proclaiming September 11 - 17, 1983, as "Constitution
Week" and September 17, 1983, as "Citizenship Day".
Recommendation: That the Mayor and City Council officially proclaim
the week of September 11 - 17, 1983, as "Constitution Week" and
September 17, 1983, as "Citizenship Day" in the City as requested.
15.
Consideration of Acceptance of the Community Development Project, Eighth
Year Program, Bishop Street From Watson Street to Walker Street;
Alley Between Nelson and Newman Streets; Alley Between Walker and
and Graham Streets; Watson Street Between Lincoln Avenue and
S.P.R.R., City of Cypress Project No. 7938-10.
Recommendation: That the City Council accept the street improvements
on Bishop Street from Watson Street to Walker Street; Alley between
Nelson and Newman Streets, Alley between Walker and Graham Streets;
Watson Street between Lincoln Avenue and S.P.R.R., Cypress Project
#7938-10, as being satisfactorily completed in accordance with the
Plans and Specifications, and authorize the City Clerk to release
the Labor and Materials Bond upon expiration of the required lien
period, providing no liens have been filed, and to release the
Faithful Performance Bond upon expiration of one year's guarantee,
providing no defects in material and workmanship become evident.
16. Consideration of Authorization to Advertise for Bids for Blue Dot
Reflectors to Mark Fire Hydrants, City of ~Cypress Project No. 8425-90.
Recommendation: That the City Council 1) Appropriate $7,000.00 from the
General Fund to Account No. 4186-11-441-21, and 2) Authorize the pur-
chase and installation of blue dot reflectors to mark the location of
fire hydrants in the City of Cypress, Project #8425-90, and authorize
the City Clerk to advertise for bids, with bids to be opened on August
30, 1983, at 2:00 p.m., in the office of the City Clerk.

17. Consideration of Weed Abatement on AP 134-181-13, Church in Cypress,
6344 Orange Avenue, Cypress.
Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the Finance Director
to return the amount of $206.80 to the Church of Cypress, 6291
Rosemary Drive, Cypress, CA 90630, which is half the cost of their
1981 Weed Abatement Assessment.
18. Consideration of Information Report on the Court Liaison Program.
Recommendation: Receive and file.
19. Consideration of Employment List for the Position of Community Service
Officer.
Recommendation: That the City Council certify the employment list for
the position of Community Service Officer as submitted.
20. Consideration of Donation of Surplus Radio Equipment.
Recommendation: That the City Council approve the donation of surplus
radio equipment to the American Red Cross, Orange County Chapter.

Political Signs.
