AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 90 WITH RESPECT TO,
CEMETERY DISTRICT REGULATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES ORDAIN.
Section 1
Section 118 0, Paragraph B of Ordinance No 90 is hereby amended to read
as follows
"No burial or internment of any human remains is allowed anywhere in the
City except in an area approved for such purpose Within a CEi1. District, no
burial or internment of a human body shall be allowed closer than sixty (60) feet
to the center line of the right-of-way of a major highway or closer than fifty
(50) feet to the center line of the right-of-way of a primary highway or closer
than forty (40) feet to the center line of a right-of-way of a secondary highway,
as such highways are designated on the Master Plan of Arterial Highways of the
City of Cypress, or in any other case closer than twenty (20) feet to the center
line of the right-of-way of any street "
Section 2.
Section 118 0, Sub -Section C, Paragraph 2, of Ordinance No 90 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"The area of any sign facing a street shall not exceed seven hundred fifty
(750) square feet maximum, exclusive of the area included in cut-outs."
Section 3
Section 118 3 of Ordinance No 90 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"r'RONT YARD REQUIREMENTS: No building other than wall crypts or signs
shall be closer than one hundred ten (110) feet to the center line of the right-
of-way of a major highway or closer than one hundred (100) feet to the center
line of the right-of-way of a primary highway or closer than ninety (90) feet
to the center line of the right-of-way of a secondary highway as such highways
are designated on the Master Plan of Arterial Highways of the City of Cypress,
or in any other case closer than eighty (80) feet to the center line of the
right-of-way of any street, provided, however, that when any cemetery property
is bounded by more than one street having a width of eighty (80) feet or more,
that portion of such property fronting on the street having the greatest width
shall be considered the front yard "
Section 4
Section 118 4 of Ordinance No 90 is hereby amended to read as follows:
SIDE YARD REQUIREMENTS. No building shall be closer than five (5) feet
to the side property line except wall crypts, one side of which forms a portion
of the wall enclosing the cemetery except where the building is located on a
side yard fronting upon a street having a width greater than fifty (50) feet in
which case there is no set back requirement "
Section 5.
Section 118 5 of Ordinance No 90 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"REAR YARD REQUIREMENTS No building other than wall crypts and signs
shall be closer than eighty-five (85) feet to the center line of the right-of-
way of a major highway or closer than seventy-five (75) feet to the center line
of the right-of-way of a primary highway or closer than forty (40) feet to the
center line of the right-of-way of a secondary highway as such highways are de-
signated on the Master Plan of Arterial Highways of the City of Cypress, or in
any other case closer than twenty-five (25) feet to the center line of the right-
of-way of any street."

Section 6
Section 11c 9 of Ordinance No 90 INCONSISTENT PROVISIONS is hereby
added to read as follows
"If any of the provisions of Part 18 of this Ordinance No 90 are found
to be inconsistent with any other provisions of said Ordinance, the provisions
of Part 18 shall prevail"
Section 119 1 Subsection (d) of Ordinance No. 90 is hereby amended with
respect to the second last line on the Chart said line referring to CEA District
as follows:
Building Lines
Secondary Highway "side" from 45' to 40'
Secondary Highway "rear" from 65' to 40'
Primary Highway "side" from 55 to 50'
Major Highway "side' from 65' to 60'
The City Clerk shall certify as to the passage and adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be posted in the manner as provided
by Law
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the following called vote of the City Council at
a regularly adjourned meeting thereof held on this 31st day of July, 1961.
