Ordinance No. 216ORDINANCE NO 216 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS FIXING THE MUNICIPAL TAX RATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1964-65 WHEREAS, the City of Cypress is a general law city incorporated under the laws of the State of California, and situated in Orange County, California, and WHEREAS, Section 51511 of the Government Code required the City Council annually before September 1st to fix the rate of taxes designated in the number of cents upon each One Hundred Dollars ($100), using as basis the value of the property as assessed and equalized, and WHEREAS, said Section of the Government Code requires that the rate shall be sufficient to raise the amount fixed by ordinance and pay the expense of collection NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cypress DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS. SECTION 1. Tax Rate: a. There is hereby levied a tax in the amount of $1.00 for each One Hundred Dollars ($100) of all of the taxable assessed property within the City of Cypress at the equalized value thereof, for the 1964-65 fiscal year SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall cause certified copies of this Ordinance to be filed with the County Auditor, Assessor, and Tax Collector of the County of Orange immediately upon its adoption. SECTION 3 Pursuant to the provisions of Section 36937 (subsection d) of the Government Code, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately as it is an Ordinance which fixes the rate of tax to be levied. Xj7-1(1,y" CITY CLERK Ordinance No 216 B To recommend to the proper officers of the City, plans consistent with the future growth dnd development of the City in order to secure to the City and its inhabitants, sanitation, proper service of all public utilities, shipping and transportation facilities C To make recommendations to any public authorities or any corporation or individuals of said City with reference to the location of any proposed buildings, structures or works D. To recommend to the proper officers of the City, the approval or disapproval of maps or plats or subdivisions of lands. Every such map or plat shall, prior to its final approval or disapproval by the proper officers of the City, be submitted to said Planning Commission for its recommendation thereon to such officers E To do such other things as shall be necessary to carry out the provisions of the City's Zoning and Land Use Ordinance and to undertake the study for, preparation and recommendation of a master plan or amendments thereto covering a comprehensive, long-term, general plan for the physical development of the City and of any land outside its boundaries which in the Commission's judgment bears relation to the development of the City SECTION VIII• Length of Term. No Planning Commissioner shall serve more than two (2) consecutive terms or a total of eight (8) years in succession A Commissioner may be re -appointed after an absence of a four (4) year period. SECTION IX. Appointment of Officers: At the Commission shall deemed necessary serve successive Secretary of the Council. first meeting in May of each calendar year the Planning elect a Chairman, Vice Chairman and other Officers as by the Commission The Chairman and Vice Chairman may terms, not to exceed a total of two (2) years The Planning Commission shall he appointed by the City SECTION X. Removal From Office: Members of the Planning Commission may be removed from office by the method heretofore mentioned in Section TV and the following. A.
