be held Thursday, January 2, 1958, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. at the
auditorium of the Cypress Elementary School, 5202 East Lincoln
Avenue, Cypress, California, and

RESOLUTION NO. 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CYPRESS REGARDING PROPOSED CHANGES IN
THE PRECISE ZONING PLAN FOR THE CITY OF CYPRESS
WHEREAS, this is the time set by law for a public
hearing to consider the changes in the precise zoning plan
for the City of Cypress as proposed by the City Council,
and
WHEREAS, notice has been given as required by law
and all interested persons present have been permitted to
express their views respecting such proposed zoning plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved as follows:
1. The public hearing is hereby closed, and the
Commission finds and determines that the proposed zoning
plan as shown by the Sectional District Maps is necessary
for the general public welfare;
2. The proposed changes to the preci:;e zoning plan
for the City of Cypress as referred to this Commission by
the City Council, are hereby approved except as noted on
the Sectional District Maps, and are recommended for adoption;
3. The Sectional District Maps as marked and attached
hereto are hereby referred to the City Council for its action,
4. The Secretary or -lssistant Secretary to this
Commission shall transmit to the City Council a copy of the
Resolution, the Sectional District Maps of the City as marked,
and a copy of the Minutes of this hearing,.

It was loved by Commissioner Wright, seconded by Commissioner
Wicker, that the following resolution be and is hereby adopted
RESOLVED that after public hearings the following Sectional
District Maps cf the City of Cypress, showing the uses of land
and other matters, be and the same are hereby approved:
District Maps 15-4-11, 16-4-11, 17-4-11, 20-4-11,
21-4-11, 22-4-11, 27-4-11 and 28-4-11.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above Sectional District
Maps are recommended to the City Council for its consideration,
and the Chairman cf the City Planning Commission is directed to
endorse his signature upon each of such maps certifying same to
the Council.

CASE NO. Z-11
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cypress held
a public hearing on January 19, 1961, regarding Zone Change Case
No. Z-11, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has studied the su`.ject

zoning for the land in question, at this time.
SECTION III: The Planning Commission recommends that the City
Council approve this request for a change of zone, from A-1 to C-2
and M-1
SECTION IV: The Planning Commission finds that the subject

Master Plan of Drainage dated January 4, 1961, to which reference
is hereby made for further particulars, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cypress con-
ducted a public hearing witlhrespect to said Master Plan of
Drainage on ;.he 19th day of January 1961, after notice duly given
as required by law, and

public hearing with respect to said Master Plan of Drainage on the 5th day of
October, 1961 after notice duly given as required by law, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cypress conducted
a second public hearing with respect to said Master Plan of Drainage on the
2nd day of November, 1961 after notice duly given as required by law

WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Cypress held a
public hearing on November 2, 1961 regarding Zone Change Case No Z-24,
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has studied the subject property
and considered evidence submitted at the public hearing
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission
of the City of Cypress does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows.
SECTION I The Planning Commission finds that the subject property
is located as follows
The north half of the southwest quarter of Section 22
Township 4 south, Range 11 west, except that portion
thereof lying southerly of the southerly line of Rancho
Los Coyotes, also except the south 300 feet thereof,
also except the north 272 feet of the east 390 feet
thereof, also except the west 600 feet thereof
SECTION II The Planning Commission finds that the facts in this matter
are as follows
(1) At the time of the public hearing there was a written protest
from the Southern Pacific Railroad Company objecting to this
proposed zone change There was also a protest from the Southern
Pacific Railroad who indicated that they felt a portion of this area
adjacent to the railroad tracks should be reserved for industrial
development
(2) The proposed change of zone would not adversely affect the
surrounding area
(3) The zoning requested by the applicant is the most suitable
zoning for the land in question at this time except that area
contiguous to the railroad be deleted from the proposed zone
change for 300 feet from the center line of the railroad right of
way
SEC TION III The Planning Commission finds that the subject property
is suitable for the requested change of zone and such change of zone would not
adversely affect the zoning plan of the City
SECTION IV The Planning Commission recommends that the City
Council of the City of Cypress approve this request for a change of zone from
Zone A-2 to Zone R-1, deleting therefrom the area heretofore described

A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
REGARDING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT CASE NO C-141 (CENTRALIA
SCHOOL DISTRICT)
WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Cypress held a public
hearing on August 2 1962 regarding Conditional Use Permit Case No C-141,
and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has studied the subject property and
considered evidence submitted at the public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the
City of Cypress does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows
Section 1• The Planning Commission finds that the subject property
is located as follows
South of Lincoln Between Valley View and Holder
The subject property has a legal description on file with the
Conditional Use Permit Case No C-141
Section 2 The Planning Commission finds that the facts in this matter
are as follows.
(1) At the time of the public hearing there were no protests
to the requested Conditional Use Permit
(2) That the site for the proposed use is adequate in size
and shape to accommodate said use and all yards,
spaces, walls and fences, parking, loading, landscaping
and other features required by the Zoning Ordinance
of the City of Cypress to adjust said use with land
and uses in the neighborhood
(3)
That the site for proposed use is bounded by street
or streets and highways adequate in width and pave-
ment type to carry the quantity and kind of traffic
generated by the proposed use
(4) That the proposed use will have no adverse effect on
abutting property or the permitted use thereof
(5) That the conditions stated in the decision are deemed
necessary to protect the public health, safety and
general welfare.
Section 3 The Planning Commission recommends that the City
Council approve this request for a Conditional Use Permit No. C-141 for
the construction of an elementary school facility subject to the
following conditions'
(1) Payment of drainage fees in accordance with the Master
Plan of Drainage
(2) Dedication of drainage easement in accordance with the
Master Plan of Drainage and improvement of channel subject
to the approval of the City Engineer.
(3) All street improvements of the area located within the City
of Cypress to be installed subject to the approval of the
City Engineer

set forth in Section 3 are met the subject property would be suitable
for the requested Conditional Use Permit

WHEREAS the Planning Commission has studied the subject property and
considered evidence submitted at the public hearing
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the
City of Cypress does hereby resolve determine and order as follows:
