The adjour a regular meeting of the Cypress City Council was called to order at
7:65 a.r~. on Wednesday, December 17, 1980 at the Los Alamitos Conntry Club, 4561
Eqt ella Avenue, Los Alamitos, California, Hayor Pro Tem Cornelius Coronado presiding.

The City Council held a general discussion with Senator Carpenter regarding State
legislation ~gnich could impact local government.
MAYOR EVANS ARRIVED AT 8:20 A.N.
Senator Carpenter reported on the status of the State surplus and indicated that
the City should anticipate a reduction, if not a complete elimination, of State
bail-out funds in the next fiscal year.
Considerable discussion was held regarding water quality and the disposal of toxic
materials. The City Council agreed to obtain additional information in order to
determine the extent of this problem and what specific State legislation ~ould be
of benefit.
SECOND READING OF ORDINfiJ~CE RELATING TO RATES FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION: It was moved
by Councilman Hullen and seconded by Councilman Coronado to order the following
Ordinance read by title only, title as follows, and to adopt the Ordinance:

AHENDINC SECTION 12-6 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
RELATING TO RATES FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION.
