Minutes 81-02-17MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CYPRESS CITY COUNCIL HELD February 17, 1981 The adjourned regular meeting of the Cypress City Council was called to order at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 1981, ~in the multi-purpose room of Savanna High School, 301N. Gilbert, Anaheim, California, Mayor Vickie Evans presiding. PRESENT: ABSENT: Councilmembers Coronado, Lacayo, Mullen, Rowan and Evans None Mayor Evans announced that the purpose of the meeting was to meet jointly with the Anaheim Union High School District Board of Trustees to discuss the disposition of the Oxford Jr. High School facility. Following introductions, Mayor Evans reviewed the position of the Cypress City Council in requesting the District to consider either leasing or selling the Oxford Jr. Itigh School facility to the City to continue to make both the open space and facility available for community use. Mayor Evans requested that a committee be established, consisting of two members of the City Council and two me~ers of the Anaheim Union High School District Board of Trustees, to work together on all of the problems to be resolved in providing for the Oxford Facility to be made available to the City. The Board of Trustees responded individually in general support of maintaining the facility for comm~mity use; however, they suggested that the final decision would be made in 30 days following the public hearing which was scheduled for 8:00 p.nl. this evening.
