2. Motion to Introduce and/or Adopt all Ordinances Presented for Consideration
by Title Only, and to Waive Further Reading.

Consideration of Approval of Plans and Specifications, Authorization to
Advertise and Obtain Bids - Project #7749-90, Pavement Marking Demonstra-
tion Program.
Recommendation: That the City Council approve the plans and specifications
and authorize the City Clerk to advertise and obtain bids for Project No.
7749-90, Pavement Marking Demonstration grant, with bids to be opened on
November 6, 1978, at 10:00 a.m.
4. Consideration of Acceptance of Improvements at the City Maintenance Yard,
City Project #7684-90.
Recommendation: That the City Council accept the improvements at the City
Maintenance Yard, City Project #7684-90, as being satisfactorily completed
in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Consideration of Proposed Detachment from the Cypress Recreation and Park
District. (400' Northerly of La Palma Avenue and 330' Easterly of
Denni Street)
Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council, acting as the Ex-
Officio Governing Board of Directors for the Cypress Recreation and Park
District, adopt the Resolution approving the detachment from the Cypress
Recreation and Park District, by title only, title as follows:

9. Consideration of a Request to Proclaim November 16, 1978, as Great American
Smokeout Day in the City of Cypress.
Recommendation: That the Mayor and City Council proclaim November 16, 1978,
as Great American Smokeout Day in the City of Cypress.
10. Consideration of Allocation of an Additional Amount of $18,665 of State
Surplus Funds for Special Districts.
Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the Staff to notify the
State Department of Finance that the total allocation of $18,665 will
be apportioned to the Cypress Lighting District No. 2.
Consideration of a Claim Submitted by Vera Arslanian.
Recommendation: That the City Council officially deny the subject claim
and refer the claim to the City's Claim Adjuster, Carl Warren and Company,
for appropriate disposition.
