Consideration of a request from the U.S. Department of the Interior
to proclaim the month of March as ';National Park Month~ in
the City of Cypress.
Recommendation: That the City Council so proclaim.
Consideration of a request from the National Secretaries Assoc. to
proclaim the week of April 23-29, 1972 as ~:Secretaries
WeekTM in the City.
Recommendation: That the City Council so proclaim.
Consideration of resolutions from the cities of Costa Mesa~ Tustin,
Fullerton~ Seal Beach and Newport Beach re~arding the
modification of rules established by PUC Case 8209 for
undergroundin~ existing utility lines, and a resolution
urging the League of California Cities and County Super-
visors to support an increase in the amount of funds now
being set aside for under, rounding of existing utility lines.
Recommendation: That the City Council concur and adopt similar resolu-
tions, copies of which are attached.

Recommendation: That a copy of this resolution be referred to the Orange
County Transit District to determine the feasibility.
Consideration of communication from Senator Arlen Gregorio re~ardin?
a proposed Senate Coustitutionsl Amendment which would
establish an independent, nonpartisan reapportionment commission.
Recommendation: Receive and file.
Consideration of a resolution of the City Council of the City of Norwalk
requesting other cities Join in requesting the legislature of
the State of California to revise the manner in which sales tax
revenues are distributed.
Recommendation: That the City Council concur in the content of the resolu-
tion and request the City Manager to notify. the appropriate
State legislators of this action.
Consideration of a resolution of the City of Buena Park requesting
prompt acquisition of the Los Coyotes park site as proposed
by the Master Plan of Regional Parks for Orange County.
Recommendation: That the City Council refer this matter to the Cypress
Recreation and Park Commission for a report and recommendation.
Consideration of a resolution of the City of Costa ~{esa, and a communi-
cation from the City of Brea, urging Pacific Telephone &
Telegraph Company to reconsider its pronosed method of
charge for business telephone service.
Recommendation: That the City Council support the contents of this resolu-
tion and authorize the City Manager to notify. the appropriate
officials of the support of the City Council.
Consideration of a communication from Loris Hundley to the Regional
Planning Commission, Zoning Section, Los Angeles, California,
regarding property between the Los Coyotes Creek Flood
Control Channel and the City of Cypress.
Recommendation: That this matter be referred to the City ?~ana~er for
further study and report.
