The Cypress City Council conducted this meeting via webinar/teleconference in accordance with California Governor Newsom's Executive Orders N-29-20 and COVID- 19 pandemic protocols. WORKSHOP SESSION The Planning Director provided an update on the Sixth Cycle Housing Element Overview and Regulatory Requirements. CONSENT CALENDAR All matters listed on the Consent Calendar are to be approved with one motion unless a Council Member requests separate action on a specific item. Item No. 1: Receive and File Public Comments Submitted for the January 21, 2021 Special City Council Meeting Recommendation: Receive and file submitted public comments. The City Clerk reported that no comments were submitted. No action was taken. NEW BUSINESS 33 Item No. 2: Receive a Quarterly Update on the FY 2020-21 Budget The Director of Finance and Administrative Services provided a report on this item. City Council discussion ensued. It was moved by Mayor Pro Tem Berry and seconded by Council Member Marquez, to receive a quarterly update on the FY 2020-21 budget and the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on the City's financial condition. The motion was unanimously carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: 5 COUNCIL MEMBERS:Hertz, Marquez, Morales, Berry and Peat NOES: 0 COUNCIL MEMBERS:None ABSENT: 0 COUNCIL MEMBERS:None ADJOURNMENT Mayor Peat adjourned the meeting at 7:28 p.m. to an adjourned Regular Meeting, to be held on Monday, January 25, 2021, beginning at 5:30 p.m., in e xecutive Board Room.
