Resolution No. 68527 RESOLUTION NO. 6852 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, AND ACTING AS EX -OFFICIO GOVERNING BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CYPRESS RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6817 ESTABLISHING SALARY RANGES AND AUTHORIZING A ONE-TIME PAYMENT FOR MID -MANAGEMENT POSITIONS WHEREAS, the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of Cypress require salary range adjustments be approved by Resolution of the City Council, and as acting as ex -officio Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Cypress, and acting as ex -officio Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District, that the salary ranges for positions classified as Mid -Management be approved as follows: A. Monthly Salary Ranges effective July 9, 2021. Monthly salary ranges will be adjusted by three percent (3%) and shall be as follows: POSITION MONTHLY SALARY RANGE City Engineer $10,603 — $13,993 Asst. Dir. of Finance & Admin. Services/Finance Manager $10,603 — $13,993 Assistant City Engineer $9,605 — $12,611 Information Technology Manager $9,605 — $12,611 City Clerk $8,905 — $12,073 Maintenance Superintendent $8,655 — $11,251 Recreation and Community Services Manager $8,655 — $11,251 Human Resources Administrator $7,494 — $10,087 Network Administrator $7,494 — $10,087 Senior Management Analyst $6,518 — $8,715 Maintenance Supervisor $6,004 — $7,807 Police Support Services Supervisor $6,004 — $7,807 Recreation Supervisor $6,004 — $7,807 B. ONE-TIME PAYMENT All eligible employees in the Mid -Management group shall receive a one-time non-PERSable payment of $6,000. The one-time payment is awarded to all employee classifications in appreciation of continued service with the organization and responding to the COVID-19 emergency. For eligible employees deemed to be performing essential work during the pandemic, the one-time payment will be considered premium pay and will be funded with American Rescue Act monies. All employees employed by the City as of June 30, 2021 will receive the one-time payment. The payment is not salary or performance based, or considered incentive pay and therefore, does not meet the requirements for reportable compensation to CaIPERS. The gross distribution shall be subject to all mandated State/Federal withholding and will have no impact on base salary, salary range or step.
