That’s great Jonathan, but make sure you coordinate your search with whatever Julie Crandall is doing so you don’t both do the same work.
I’m not exactly sure what she’s doing for the Miranda Family, but originally at least her task was to find them an affordable new home, preferably at least a 2 bedroom
(although they qualify for a 3 bedroom as subsidized housing doesn’t require adults to share bedrooms, even if they are the same gender).
You should also not mention me to Julie as she got offended and wrote me an email to ask me to back off and “let me do my work,” so I apologized and told her I would be
happy to let her do exactly that. However, I have no clue what she has committed to do and at this point I’d rather just fade away and let her think I disappeared, and just stay
in touch with you & Frances. That way, her relationship with the two of you won’t be affected by my over-reaching.
Remember, I’ve been in private practice for 20 years now, so I’m used to doing everything for clients myself since I’ve never had a paralegal like Julie to help . . . and
obviously Julie wants to do whatever she’s planning to do for this family, which she’s chosen not to share with me, and that’s fine. What matters is they get her help, and that
you & Frances remain on good terms with her so she can help other people with disabilities who need free help in Cypress.
Sometimes I can be overwhelmingly passionate, and start micro-managing, and no one likes that — so I understand and sympathize with Julie. She has a great reputation, and
hopefully she will do right by the Mirandas as well as future Mirandas who reside in Cypress the next time Frances needs help from Disability Rights CA.
I’ve copied Frances on this email as I’ve already discussed with her why she needs to distance herself from me when she talks to Julie. This email will be a reminder. That way
we can all be on the same page, and I can stay up to date with the Miranda family without alienating Julie.
Take care,
Michele

Hello,
Sounds good! I will make some calls to the apartments available with a focus near Knotts (as that is where she is employed). I'll send you an email keeping you
updated with whatever I find? Hopefully there are some openings that have yet to be explored!
I hope you have a pleasant day!
Warm Regards,
Jonathan H. Kung

Hi Jonathan.
If you could call the some of the apartments on the list, that would be great. Please focus on Buena Park and Cypress. Maybe Anaheim as some
areas are close to Knotts.
I have a realtor looking too. Also, I am trying to get the family connected through Dale Macintosh’s housing navigation.

Good Afternoon,
All my classes are offered in a Hybrid format! As a result, I am not required to be in physical attendance to receive full credit!
I was wondering if you still needed me to go through this list? I have been drowning in class work as somebody thought for it to be a good idea to mix politics
with statistics. It is paramount that they have a more permanent housing arrangement as soon as possible!
Let me know as I am happy to help!
Warm Regards,
Jonathan H. Kung

Hello Jonathan, I hope you had a good weekend. Do you commute to UCSD or are you remote? If you commute, that is quite a commitment.
I spoke with Frances and she said you may have time to call some apartments for our family. I am including 2 lists for you to start with. I have
already called Emerald Gardens, Terra Village and the Commons. No openings there.
Thank you again for all your doing!
