Recommendation: That the City Council approve the Minutes of April
8, 1985 as submitted with Councilman Mullen abstaining due to
his absence at the meeting.
Motion to Introduce and/or Adopt All Ordinances Presented For Consideration
by Title Only and to Waive Further Reading.
Consideration of Request From the Cypress Twirlers for Permission
to Use the City Council Plaza Area for Square Dancing on June
22, August 4, and September 1, 1985.
Recommendation: That the City Council approve the request of the
Cypress Twirlers for use of the City Council Chambers Plaza area
on June 22, August 4, and September 1, 1985, between the hours
of 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., subject to the condition that the
organization be required to pay for any additional costs incurred
in providing maintenance and utility services, as well as submitting
a new Certificate of Insurance for liability coverage naming the
City of Cypress as additional insured.

Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the attendance of
David Barrett, Assistant City Manager, to attend PRIMA's Sixth
Annual Conference for Local Governments on June 9-12, 1985, in
San Diego, CA, and be reimbursed for all actual and necessary
expenses incurred.
Consideration of Adoption of Resolution Amending Personnel Rules
and Regulations for Employees of the City of Cypress and Cypress
Recreation and Park District.
Reco~nendation: That the City Council, and acting as the ex officio
governing Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park
District, adopt the Resolution by title only, title as follows,
amending the Personnel Rules and Regulations.

Consideration of Improvements on Cerritos Avenue From Denni Street
to Moody Street, AHFP No. 1106, City of Cypress Project No. 8400-10-1106.
Reco~nendation: That the City Council accept the street improvements
on Cerritos Avenue from Denni Street to Moody Street, Project
No. 8400-10-1106, as being satisfactorily completed in acccordance
with the Plans and Specifications, and authorize the City Clerk
to release the Labor and Materials Bond upon expiration of the
required lien period, providing no liens have been filed, and
to release the Faithful Performance Bond upon expiration of one
year's guarantee, providing no d~f~cts in material or workmanship
become evident.
Consideration of Resolution Declaring the City's Intention to Proceed
With Actions to Support the Submittal of a Preliminary Application
for Funding Under the Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
202/8 Program.
Recommendation: That the City Council approve and adopt the Resolution
by title only, title as follows, declaring its support of the
submittal of a Section 202/8 application to HUD for affordable
rental senior housing.
