MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
OF THE CYPRESS CITY COUNCIL
HELD
February 21, 1987
The adjourned regular meeting of the Cypress City Council was called to
order at 8:05 a.m. , on Saturday, February 21, 1987, in the
Administrative Conference Room of the Cypress City Hall, 5275 Orange
Avenue, Cypress, California, Mayor John Kanel presiding.
PRESENT: Council Members Arnold, Coronado, Davis, Mullen and Kanel
ABSENT: None
Also present was Deputy City Clerk Lillian Haina.
CONSIDERATION OF CONDUCTING ORAL INTERVIEWS FOR APPOINTMENTS TO THE
TRAFFIC COMMISSION, RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMISSION, AND 'l'HE
CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION: The Council interviewed five candidates for
the Traffic Commission.
After interviewing three candidates for the Recreation & Community
Service Camnission, Councilman Coronado left the meeting at 10:10 a.m.
for a Doctor's appointment.
The Mayor stated that the remaining interviews would be recorded for
review by Councilman Coronado and the Council proceeded to interview the
four remaining candidates for the Recreation & COImuni ty Service
Commission and the four candidates for the Cultural Arts Commission.
Upon completion of the interview session, the Mayor suggested that each
Council Member submit their top three choices for each Commission
vacancy to the City Manager's Office for tabulation.
ADJOURNMENT: Mayor Kanel adjourned the meeting at 11:35 a.m., to 6:45
p.m. , on Monday, February 23, 1987, in the City Council Chamber, 5275
Orange Avenue, Cypress, CA, for a joint meeting with the Senior Citizens
COIllnission.
