RESOLUTION NO. 1331
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF THE FIRST
ALLEY EAST OF WALKER STREET EXTENDING FROM THE FIRST ALLEY
SOUTH OF LINCOLN AVENUE TO BISHOP STREET SUBJECT TO THE
RESERVATION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS AND ELECTING TO PROCEED
UNDER THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, ORDER,
AND FIND AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intention of the City Council of Cypress to order the
vacation of the following alley.
DESCRIPTION:
That portion of the first alley East of Walker Street extending from the first
alley South of Lincoln Avenue to Bishop Street, more particularly described as
follows:
A portion of Tract 342 shown as a 15' alley as per map recorded in Book 15,
Page 4 of Miscellaneous Maps of Records of County of Orange, described as
follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 18 of said Tract, thence
15.00 feet South 89° 46' 30" West along the westerly prolongation of the
southerly line of said Lot 18, to the Southeasterly corner of Lot 21
of said Tract; thence 120.00 feet along the common easterly boundary line
of Lots 21, 20, and 19, of said Tract to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave southwesterly having a radius of 10 feet, thence northwesterly
along said curve of an arc distance of 15. 72 feet to the northerly line of
said Lot 19, thence North 890 46' 30" East 35.00 feet along the easterly
prolongation said northerly line to the point of tangency of a curve con-
cave southeasterly having a radius of 10.00 feet, thence along said curve an
arc distance of 15.54 to the westerly line of said Lot 18 thence South 0°
25' 30" East along said westerly line 120.00 feet to the point of beginning
reserving in, on, over and through the described parcel an easement for
public utilities.
SECTION 2. City elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941.
SECTION 3. The time and place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby fixed at the hour of 8:00 p.m. at
the regular meeting place of said City Council at 5275 Orange Avenue, Cypress,
California, on March 12, 1973.
SECTION 4. A detailed map of the portion of said alley and said easement is
on file in the offices of the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works of the
City of Cypress, and the attention of anyone interested in additional particulars
is directed to these persons.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause notices to be posted con-
spicuously along the line of the portion of the alley to be vacated at least ten
(10) days before the date set for said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not
more than three hundred feet (300' ) apart, but at least three (3) of such notices
shall be posted on the alley. Said notices shall state the passage of this
Resolution and the time and place of the hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a regular
meeting held on the 13th day of February, 1973.
