PRESENTATIONS The City Council presented a "Parks Make Life Better Month" Proclamation to Recreation and Community Services staff members. • The Director of Recreation and Community Services introduced Recreation Supervisor Ryan Morais. The Director of Public Works introduced Management Analyst Karla Gonzalez. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (Limited to three minutes per speaker, unless modified by the City Council) Rob Johnson, Cypress, spoke regarding Agenda Item No. 2. Helen Le, Cypress, spoke regarding Agenda Item No. 2 via virtual participation. 426 CONSENT CALENDAR Item No. 1: Proclaim the Month of July 2023 as Parks Make Life Better Month Recommendation: Proclaim the month of July 2023 as Parks Make Life Better Month. A motion was made by Council Member Burke, and seconded by Council Member Marquez, to approve Consent Calendar Agenda Item No. 1. The City Council and Commission asked questions of staff. A motion was made by Council Member Peat, and seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Minikus, to approve plans and specifications for Arnold Cypress Park Rehabilitation, Project 308. A motion was made by Council Member Peat, and seconded by Council Member Burke, to direct the Recreation and Community Services Commission to recommend names for Arnold Cypress Park softball fields for City Council consideration.
