5.Approve an Amendment to the Custodial Services Contract for City Facilities

Recommendation: Approve a $4,844 contract amendment with United Maintenance
Systems for custodial services at City Facilities for the period of November 2023
through July 2024.
6.Award Contract for Shade Structure Replacement at Eucalyptus Park, Project 364

Recommendation:
1. Approve Plans and Specifications for Shade Structure Replacement at Eucalyptus
Park, Project 364; and
2. Award a contract to R.E. Schultz Construction, Inc. for $72,610, and authorize a
contingency of $10,800.
7.Receive and File the Investment Report for the Month Ended September 30, 2023

9.Approve an Ordinance Amending the Municipal Code to Implement the Housing
Element and Comply with State Housing Laws

Recommendation:
1. Approve the first reading, by title only, of an Ordinance amending selected
provisions of Appendix I (Zoning) of the Cypress Municipal Code related to multi-family
housing development and design standards, multi-family permitting procedures, and
accessory dwelling units in support of Housing Element implementation; and
2. Find the action exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
