1.Introduce and/or Adopt All Ordinances and Resolutions Presented for
Consideration by Title Only and to Waive Further Reading
2.Second Reading of Ordinance Amending the McDonnell Center Specific Plan for
5665 Plaza Drive
Prepared by: Alicia Velasco, Planning Director
Recommendation: Approve the second reading and adopt an Ordinance, by title only
and waive further reading, amending the McDonnell Center Specific Plan to remove the
maximum square footage requirement and permit light industrial uses in the eastern
portion of Planning Area 1 at 5665 Plaza Drive.
3.Second Reading and Adoption of an Ordinance Amending Purchasing Thresholds
Prepared by: Matt Burton, Director of Finance and Administrative Services
Recommendation: Approve the second reading and adopt an Ordinance, by title only
and waive further reading, amending Section 21A of the Municipal Code authorizing
changes in purchasing bid procedures and contract award thresholds.
4.Approve Final Parcel Map No. 2023-134 for 4321 Cerritos Avenue

Recommendation: Approve Final Parcel Map No. 2023-134 and the Subdivision
Improvement Agreement.
5.Approve a Six Month Extension of Contract Building Inspection and Plan Check
Services

Recommendation:
1. Approve a six-month extension to the agreement with Charles Abbott Associates, Inc.
for building inspection and plan check services; and
2. Receive and file a request for proposals for Professional Building Official, Permitting,
Inspection, Plan Review, and Related Services.

invocational speaker’s particular faith, belief and/or religious denomination. The City Council has
an established neutral policy for selecting and scheduling invocational speakers. The City
Council’s policy on invocations is available from the City Clerk.
