Minutes 72-06-14MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF TEE CYPRESS CITY COUNCIL June 14, 1972 The adjourned regular meeting of the C~press City Council was called to order at 7:20 p.m.~ on Wednesday, June 14, 1972, in the Cypress City Council Chambers, 5275 Orange Avenue, Cypress, California, Mayor Otto Lacayo presiding. PRESENT: Councilman Frankiewich, Harvey, Roberrs and Lacayo ABSENT: Councilman Fanel It was moved by Councilwoman Frankiewich, seconded by Councilman Roberrs and unanimously carried to adjourn to the Administrative Conference Room at 7:21 p.m. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called back to order at 7:24 p.m., in the Administrative Conference Room, 5275 Orange Avenue, Cypress, California, Mayor Otto LaCayo presiding. PRESENT: Councilmen Frankiewich, Harvey, Roberrs and Lacayo ABSENT: Councilman Fanel It was moved by Councilman Robarts, seconded by Councilman Harvey and unanimously carried to remove from the table, the consideration of the 1972/73 fiscal year budget. The City Council then discussed the Government Buildings budget. COUNCII/4AN FANEL ARRIVED AT 7:55 P.M. EXECUTIVE SESSION: At the request of the City Manager, it was moved by Councilman Roberrs, seconded by Councilwoman Frankiewich and unanimously carried to go into an Executive Session at 8:20 p.m., to discuss a matter of litigation. The meeting was called back to order at 8:40 p.m., with all Councilmen present. It was moved by Councilman Roberrs, seconded by Councilwoman Frankiewich and unanimously carried to remove the item involving the report on the status of the Leal dairy from the table. Following discussion regarding the proposed settlement between the City of Cypress and FAr. Leal regarding the operation of his dairy, it was moved by Councilman Roberrs, seconded by Councilwoman Frankiewich and unanimously carried to authorize the City Attorney to prepare a Stipulated Judgament, to be executed by Mr. Leal, which would provide for the complete removal of big dairy operation by December 31, 1972. The City Council was advised that the Settlement, in the form of aStipulated Judgement, would be returned to the City Council for official approval. The Council suggested that upon receipt of the settlement, the City Manager should prepare a press release regarding this utter, and also thet additional copies be made to be circulated in the residential area immediately adjacent to the Leal dairy, by Mr. Hardesty. The City Council continued discussion of the 1972/73 fiscal year budget. ADJOURNMENT: It was moved by Councilman Harvey, seconded by Councilwoman Frankiewich and unanimously City Council Minutes June 14, 1972 carried to adjourn at 10:40 p.m., to 8:30 aom. on Saturday, June 17, 1972, in the Administrative Conference Room.
