Consideration of Adoption of Resolution Commending Lauren Comeau
on Attaining the Girl Scout Silver Award.
Recommendation: That the City Council adopt the Resolution by
title only, title as follows, commending Lauren Comeau on
attaining the Girl Scout Silver Award.

Consideration of Acceptance of the Removal of Street Trees in
Various Locations Contract, Public Works Project No. 9018.
Recommendation: That the City Council: 1) Accept the work for the
Removal of Street Trees in Various Locations Contract, Public
Works Project No. 9018, as being satisfactorily completed; 2)
Approve final payment to West Coast Arborists, 7072 Thomas
Street, Buena Park, CA 90621; and 3) Authorize the City Clerk to
release the Labor and Materials Bond upon expiration of the
required lien period, if no claims or objections have been
filed, and to release the Faithful Performance Bond upon the
expiration of one yearns guarantee upon the Director of Public
Works~ concurrence.
Consideration of Acceptance of Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Repair on
Various Streets Contract, Public Works Project No. 9125.
Recommendation: That the City Council: 1) Accept the work for
the Construction of Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Repair on Various
Streets Contract, Public Works Project No. 9125, as being
satisfactorily completed; 2) Approve final payment to G.M.G.
Construction, 5601 Shady Glen Place, Yorba Linda, CA 92686; and
3) Authorize the City Clerk to release the Labor and Materials
Bond upon expiration of the required lien period, if no claims
or objections have been filed, and to release the Faithful
Performance Bond upon the expiration of one yearns guarantee
upon the Director of Public Works' concurrence.
Consideration of Renewal of Professional Photographic Services
Contract.
Recommendation: That the City Council authorize staff to renew
the contract for professional photography services with Mr.
Edward H. Spurgeon of Cypress Photo Art, 6179-B Ball Road,
Cypress, CA 90630., for the period of March 1, 1992 through
February 28, 1993, with no change to the existing contract
rates.
Consideration of Adoption of Various Building codes and Certain
Amendments Thereto.
Recommendation: That the City Council: 1) Approve the first
reading of the Ordinances by title only, titles as follows,
adopting by reference the current State Building-related Codes
and set Monday, June 22, 1992, at 7:30 p.m., as the day, date,
and time for a public hearing to hear any objections to the
adoption of these Ordinances.

Sections 5-1 and 5-2 of Chapter 5 of the Cypress City Code,
Thereby Adopting by Reference the Following Codes With Certain
Amendments Thereto: the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Building
Code, the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code, the 1991
Edition of the Uniform Housing Code, the 1991 Edition of the
Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, the 1991
Edition of the Administrative Code and the 1991 Edition of the
Uniform Building Code Standards.
b. An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Cypress Adding
Sections 5-3 and 5-4 to Chapter 5 of the Cypress City Code,
Thereby Adopting by Reference the Following Codes With Certain
Amendments Thereto: The 1991 Edition of the Uniform Fire Code
and the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Fire Code Standards.
c. An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Cypress
Rescinding Ordinance No. 844 and Amending Chapter 8 of the
Cypress City Code and Thereby Adopting by Reference the
Electrical Code, 1990 Edition, With Certain Amendments.
d. An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Cypress Amending
Chapter 19 of the Cypress City Code and Thereby Adopting by
Reference the Following Codes With Certain Amendments Thereto:
The 1991 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, the 1988 Edition
of the Uniform Swimming Pool Code, the 1988 Edition of the
Uniform Solar Energy Code, and the Uniform Plumbing Code
Material and Installation Standards.
