Resolution No. 6425463 RESOLUTION NO. 6425 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 2014 -03, CHANGING THE GENERAL PLAN CLASSIFICATION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 9470 MOODY STREET FROM COMMUNITY SERVICES AND FACILITIES TO SPECIFIC PLAN AREA WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress held a public hearing to consider an amendment to the Land Use Element of the Cypress General Plan changing the property located at 9470 Moody Street (the "subject property ") from Community Services and Facilities to Specific Plan Area; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress considered evidence presented by the applicant, City staff, and other interested parties at the public hearing, and WHEREAS, a Mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared and noticed according to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, following the public hearing and Council discussion, a motion was made to approve the General Plan Amendment for the alteration of the Land Use Element of the Cypress General Plan changing the land use designation from Community Services and Facilities to Specific Plan Area. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cypress does hereby FIND, DETERMINE, and RESOLVE as follows: 1. The subject General Plan Amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan, including the Land Use Element. 2. The property located at 9470 Moody Street is hereby changed from the General Plan designation of Community Services and Facilities to Specific Plan Area. 3. The Mitigated Negative Declaration has been prepared, noticed, and is hereby adopted according to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act. 4. General Plan Amendment No. 2014 -03 is, by this resolution, adopted and approved consistent with the requirements of law. 5. This resolution shall not be in force or effect unless the same is approved by a majority of the voters casting a "yes" vote on a ballot measure, scheduled for the November 4, 2014 General Election, to rezone the subject property from its current zoning of PS -1A Public & Semi - Public to PC Planned Community (PC -14) to the zoning designation set forth herein.
