ORDINANCE NO. 1037
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
CALIFORNIA AMENDING SECTION 25, DIVISION 1, APPENDIX "A" OF THE
CYPRESS ZONING ORDINANCE (OFF STREET PARKING AND LOADING),
AMENDING TABLE 25.7(A) THEREBY DEFINING PARKING SPACE
REQUIREMENTS IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress recognizes that regulation of
parking and loading areas is necessary to ensure that all land uses provide adequate off -
street parking facilities, loading areas, and vehicle movement area associated with a use;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is amending Table 25.7(A) to the Cypress Zoning
Ordinance in order to ensure the above,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cypress hereby ordains as
follows:
Section 1: Table 25.7(A) of the Cypress Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to
read as follows:

Residential Uses
Single- family, detached and attached
2 -car garage for each unit.
Small -lot, Single- family development
Guest parking
2 -car garage plus 2 open spaces for each unit.
The open spaces may be located on the
driveway leading to the garage.
1 unassigned open space for each unit.
Planned Residential Development
Guest parking
2 garage spaces for each unit.
1 open space for each unit.
Apartment, including multiple- family (2 or more
dwelling units on one building site, excluding
condominiums and townhomes)
Guest parking
Bachelor unit: 1 garage space for each unit.
One- bedroom unit: 1 garage space, plus 1/2
open space for each unit.
Two - bedroom unit: 2 garage spaces for each
unit.
Three - bedroom unit: 2 garage spaces plus 1/2
open space for each unit.
1/4 unassigned open spaces for each unit on
building site with 4 or more dwelling units.
Boarding or Rooming house
1 space for each guest room or dwelling unit.
Detached Condominium containing three or
2 car garage plus 2 open spaces for each

the 27th day of January, 2003, and finally adopted and order posted at a regular meeting
