A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
AND ACTING AS EX- OFFICIO GOVERNING BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CYPRESS RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6452 ESTABLISHING
SALARY RANGES FOR CONFIDENTIAL POSITIONS.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of Cypress require that
amendments or revisions to the Position Classification Plan, revisions to class specifications or
salary adjustments for positions be approved by the City Council, and as acting as ex- officio
Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District; and
WHEREAS, the City is reorganizing its departmental structure and the associated duties
assigned to certain Confidential positions;
WHEREAS, the class specifications of Human Resources Analyst and Management
Analyst will be revised to change the Fair Labor Standards Act designation from Non Exempt to
Exempt from overtime compensation and include other updates; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Cypress, and acting as ex-
officio Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District, that the salary ranges for
Confidential positions be approved as follows:
A. Monthly Salary Ranges effective November 7, 2014. Monthly /hourly pay ranges shall
be as follows:

B. The positions of Human Resources Analyst and Management Analyst shall be
considered Exempt from overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act
(FLSA).
C. Other Benefits - The positions of Human Resources Analyst, Management Analyst,
Executive Assistant, Payroll Coordinator, Recording Secretary /Deputy City Clerk and
Human Resources Assistant shall be provided other benefits as provided to the Cypress
City Employees' Association.
