RESOLUTION NO. 6066
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS AND
ACTING AS EX-OFFICIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CYPRESS
RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ESTABLISHING THE
CLASSIFICATIONS AND COMPENSATION FOR THE POSITIONS OF
REDEVELOPMENT/ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER,
PLANNING MANAGER, SENIOR PLANNER AND SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
AND AMENDING RESOLUTION 6042 TO ADD CLASSIFICATIONS TO THE
MID- MANAGEMENT PAY AND BENEFITS PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of Cypress
require that amendments or revisions to the Position Classification Plan be
approved by Resolution of the City Council, and as acting as ex-officio Board of
Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that future salary adjustments shall
be made within the compensation range for the positions of
Redevelopment/Economic Development Manager, Planning Manager, Senior
Civil Engineer and Senior Planner as approved by the City Manager based on
job performance; and
WHEREAS, with the creation of the classification of Economic
Development Manager it has been determined that the classification of Assistant
Community Development Director be eliminated; and
WHEREAS, the positions of Economic Development Manager, Senior
Civil Engineer and Senior Planner shall be added to the Mid-Management Pay
and Benefits Plan and shall have a salary range as follows:
A. Monthly Salary Ranges Effective December 30, 2007. A salary
adjustment and/or merit increase for Mid-Management shall be made
within the respective range and as approved by the City Manager based
on job performance.

B. Monthly Salary Ranges Effective June 28, 2008. A salary adjustment
and/or merit increase for Mid-Management shall be made within the
respective range and as approved by the City Manager based on job
performance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Cypress, and acting as the ex-officio Board of Directors of the Cypress
Recreation and Park District, hereby adopted the class specification for the
position of Water Quality Manger at the regular meeting November 26, 2007,
and approve the established compensation and representation, thereby
amending the City's Position Classification Plan.
