Resolution No. 5868RESOLUTION NO. 5868 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS AND ACTING AS EX- OFFICIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CYPRESS RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 5258 AND ESTABLISHING SALARY RANGES AND BENEFITS FOR EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT POSITIONS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Cypress, and acting as ex- officio Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District, that the positions classified as Executive Management listed below, shall have an adjustment made to each salary range and each position shall maintain benefits as follows: A. Monthly Salary Ranges Effective July 1, 2005. A salary adjustment and /or merit increase for Executive Management shall be made within the respective range and as approved by the City Manager based on job performance. Position Range Community Development Director $9,413 - $11,296 Finance and Administrative Services Director $9,860 - $11,832 Police Chief $10,675 - $12,810 Public Works Director /City Engineer $9,572 - $11,486 Recreation and Community Services Director $8,628 - $10,353 B. Health Benefits — Executive Management positions shall be provided health insurance coverage as provided to other employee bargaining units in the City. The City's contribution for medical and dental insurance shall be based on the benefit plan formula shown in the Schedule of Benefits for Management Employees. Life insurance shall be provided with a benefit amount of one times annual salary. C. Miscellaneous — Leave benefits and all other fringe benefits remain the same with no change. Auto Allowance for Executive Management positions remains at $300.00 /month. The classification of Police Chief shall receive a Uniform Allowance of $750.00 /year. A retiree of an Executive Management position may receive payment for supplemental health care in the amount of $300 /month after 10 years of continuous service. Employees in Executive Management positions shall pay as an employee group the employee contribution to their retirement plan. Executive Management positions shall be provided a maximum of $1,000 on a biennial basis (every two years) for wellness program expenses as determined by the Personnel Officer. Executive Management positions shall be eligible to participate in a Retiree Health Savings Plan with ICMA Retirement Corporation. Executive Management positions shall accrue vacation leave beginning at the rate of one hundred and twenty (120) hours per year for the first five years, and then at the rate of an additional eight (8) hours per year to a maximum of one hundred and sixty (160) hours per year at the eleventh year. Unused vacation leave may be accrued to a maximum of three hundred and sixty (360) hours. D. All Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
