CONSENT CALENDAR:
All matters listed on the Agenda under "Consent Calendar" are to be
considered by the City Council to be routine and will be enacted by
one motion approving the recommendations listed on the Agenda.
Motion to Approve City Council Minutes of June 29, 1988,
July 6, 1988, and July 11, 1988.
Recommendation: That the City Council approve the Minutes of
the Adjourned Regular Meetings of June 29, 1988 and July
6, 1988, and the Regular Meeting of July 11, 1988, with
Councilman Coronado abstaining due to his absence at these
meetings.
Motion to Introduce and/or Adopt All Ordinances Presented
for Consideration by Title Only and to Waive Further
Reading.
Consideration of Authorization to Attend the International
Training Conference on Public Personnel Administration.
Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the
attendance of Nancy Leonard, Assistant to the City
Manager/Employee Relations, to the International Training
Conference on Public Personnel Administration, to be held
on October 2-6, 1988, in New Orleans, LA, and be
reimbursed for all actual and necessary expenses incurred.
Consideration of Proclaiming the Week of August 1, 1988, as
"Export Now Week" in the City of Cypress.
Recommendation: That the Mayor and City Council officially
proclaim the week of August 1, 1988, as "Export Now Week"
in the City of Cypress as requested.

by title only, title as follows, instituting a program of
voluntary water conservation in the City of Cypress.
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Cypress
Adopting a Program of Voluntary Water Conservation to
Reduce Water Consumption by Ten Percent.
Consideration of Authorization for the City Manager to
Attend the 74th International City Management
Association's Annual Conference.
Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the
attendance of the City Manager to the 74th ICMA Annual
Conference to be held on October 23-27, 1988, in
Charlotte, North Carolina, and be reimbursed for all
actual and necessary expenses incurred.
Consideration of the Hiring of Professional Consultants for
