Resolution No. 5627RESOLUTION NO. 5627 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, AND ACTING AS EX- OFFICIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CYPRESS RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5110 ESTABLISHING HOURLY PAY RANGES FOR TEMPORARY PART -TIME AND SEASONAL POSITIONS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Cypress, and acting as ex- officio Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District, that Resolution No. 5110 be amended as indicated below: SECTION 1. Hourly Pay Ranges Temporary part -time and seasonal employees in the positions indicated shall be compensated as shown on Attachment "A ". SECTION 2. A temporary part -time and seasonal employee is eligible for a merit increase within the salary range established for the position based on acceptable job performance as approved by the Department Head and provided that the employee has worked a minimum number of hours from the date of appointment or the date of the last merit increase as indicated on Attachment "A ". SECTION 3. A temporary part -time and seasonal employee must meet the qualifications of a position as specified in the job specification in order to qualify for a promotion to a position with a higher rate of pay and more responsible duties. In addition, all promotions shall be based on acceptable job performance as approved by the Department Head. SECTION 4. Incumbents of temporary part -time and seasonal positions receive no benefits except those required by State and Federal law. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall become effective on January 3, 2003, and all resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
