AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA,
ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 4.5.1, DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS
MATRIX, OF THE LINCOLN AVENUE SPECIFIC PLAN, AN INCREASE IN THE
MAXIMUM FRONT YARD SETBACKS FROM TEN FEET (10') TO TWENTY FEET
(20') FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE CV CAMPUS VILLAGE DISTRICT
OF THE SPECIFIC PLAN AREA.
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing for consideration of this zone change was held
by the City Council of the City of Cypress on the 28th day of August, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress considered evidence presented at the
public hearing including a staff report and public testimony; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cypress does find and ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The Amendment to the Lincoln Avenue Specific Plan hereby permits an increase
in the maximum front yard setbacks from ten feet (10') to twenty feet (20') for residential
development within the CV Campus Village District of the Specific Plan area, as provided in
Footnote [6] of the revised Table 2, Development Standards Matrix attached to this Ordinance;
and
SECTION 2: The Amendment to the Lincoln Avenue Specific Plan does not increase the
allowable building density or land uses assumed in the environmental analysis of the Specific
Plan.
SECTION 3: Development projects subject to the amended provision would be analyzed for
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance on a project by project basis; and
SECTION 4: The proposed Amendment to the Lincoln Avenue Specific Plan is consistent with
the General Plan Mixed Use designation.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to certify as the passage of this
Ordinance and to give notice thereof by causing copies of this Ordinance to be posted in three
public places throughout the City.
FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City on the 28th day of August,
2000 and finally adopted and order posted at a regular meeting held on thelith day of September.
