Consideration of Award of Contract for One (1) Audio Surveillance Unit. 2. Consideration of Contract With Robert Bein, William Frost & Associates - Addendum No. 4, Texaco Tank Farm Cleanup. Consideration of Award of Contract for the Construction of Volleyball Court, Parking Lot Renovation, and Expansion and Renovation of Shuffleboard Court at Cypress/Arnold Park, Public Works Project No. 8721. CONSENT CALENDAR: All matters listed on the Agenda under "Consent Calendar" are to be considered by the City Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion approving the recommendations listed on the Agenda. 4. Motion to Approve City Council Minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 9, 1989. Recommendation: That the City Council approve the Minutes of January 9, 1989, as submitted. 5. Motion to Introduce and/or Adopt All Ordinances Presented for Consideration by Title Only and to Waive Further Reading. Consideration of an Application for Alcoholic Beverage License Transfer Filed by Kurban Kurani, President, and Liaquat Kurani, Secretary/Treasurer, of Kurani Foods, Inc., D.B.A., Pizza Hut, 4185 Ball Road, Cypress. Recommendation: Receive and file. 7. Consideration of Authorization to Attend the International Symposium for Law Enforcement Executives. Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the attendance of Chief Lowenberg to the International Symposium for Law Enforcement Executives to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on February 17-21, 1989, and be reimbursed for all actual and necessary expenses incurred. 8. Consideration of Purchase of a Table at the Cypress College 1989 Americana Awards Dinner. Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the purchase of a table of 10 at $125/person at the Cypress College 1989 Americana Awards Dinner, to be held on February 25, 1989. CITY COUNCIL AGENDA January 23, 1989 CONSENT CALENDAR(Continued): 9. Consideration of D.A.R.E. Program at Cerritos School. Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the Cypress Police Department to initiate a D.A.R.E. Program at Cerritos School as outlined in the memorandum. 10. Consideration of Employment List - Assistant Civil Engineer. Recommendation: That the City Council certify the Employment List for the position of Assistant Civil Engineer as submitted. 11. Consideration of Recommendations of Traffic Commission Meeting of December 20, 1988. Recommendation: That the City Council: 1) Approve the recommendation of the Traffic Commission and adopt the Resolution, by title only, title as follows, approving the installation of a "No Parking Anytime" area in the alley which accesses 9151 Grindlay Street (Cypress Sunrise Apartments); and 2) Receive and file the recommendation to install a pedestrian signal adjacent to the King Elementary School. Consideration of Monthly Investment Program for the Month of December 1988. Recommendation: Receive and file. Recreation & Park District Matters: 13. Consideration of Attendance to the 1989 League of California Cities Community Service Conference. Recommendation: That the City Council, acting as the ex officio governing Board of Directors for the Cypress Recreation and Park District, authorize the attendance of the Recreation and Park Director, Marvin DeCarlo, to the 1989 League of California Cities Community Service Conference, to be held on April 12-14, 1989, in Monterey, and be reimbursed for all actual and necessary expenses incurred.
