Resolution No. 5211451 RESOLUTION NO. 5211 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS OPPOSING MEASURE F WHEREAS, Measure F has received sufficient signatures to qualify for placement on the ballot for the statewide election scheduled for March 7, 2000; and WHEREAS, this Initiative prohibits the County from implementing the development or expansion of certain jails, airports and hazardous waste landfills until hearings are conducted and two- thirds of persons voting at a County General election approve the project; and WHEREAS, irrespective of the City's position related to the airport issue, Measure F represents bad public policy in that it would result in substantial costs to the City and County for projects related to the aforementioned. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cypress opposes the Safe and Healthy Communities Initiative known as Measure F.
