RESOLUTION NO. 5344
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, AND
ACTING AS EX- OFFICIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CYPRESS
RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, A SUBSIDIARY DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF
CYPRESS, AMENDING RESOLUTION 5110 ESTABLISHING HOURLY PAY
RANGES FOR TEMPORARY PART -TIME AND SEASONAL POSITIONS.
The City Council of the City of Cypress, and acting as ex- officio Board of Directors of
the Cypress Recreation and Park District, HEREBY DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE and
ORDER, that Resolution 5110 be amended as indicated below
SECTION 1. Hourly Pay Ranges
Temporary part-time and seasonal employees in the positions indicated shall be
compensated as shown on attachment "A ".
SECTION 2. A temporary part-time and seasonal employee is eligible for a merit
increase based on acceptable job performance as approved by the Department Head and
provided that the employee has worked a minimum of 1040 hours from the date of
appointment or the date of last merit increase.
SECTION 3. A temporary part-time and seasonal employee must meet the qualifications
of a position as specified in the job specification in order to qualify for a promotion to a
position with a higher rate of pay and more responsible duties. In addition, all promotions
shall be based on acceptable job performance as approved by the Department Head.
SECTION 4. Incumbents of temporary part-time and seasonal positions receive no
benefits except those required by State and Federal law.
SECTION 5. All Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, and
acting as ex- officio Board of Directors of the Cypress Recreation and Park District, at a
regular meeting, this 8th day of January, 2001.

Office Assistant I /II shall be designated the same hourly pay range as assigned for a regular
full -time Office Assistant I /II.
Police Officer Trainee shall be paid an hourly rate which is ten percent (10 %) below the "A"
step for the regular full -time position of Police Officer.
