A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF KATELLA AVENUENALLEY VIEW STREET
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS HEREBY RESOLVES,
DETERMINES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
(a) THAT, WHEREAS, the City of Cypress desires to implement the Katella
AvenueNalley View Street Intersection transportation improvements;
(b) WHEREAS, the City of Cypress has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M
"turnback" funds;
(c) WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways;
(d) WHEREAS, the City of Cypress will provide matching funds for each project
as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program
Procedures Manual;
(e) WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS hereby
requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts
specified in the City's application to said City from the Combined Transportation Funding
Programs. Said funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required and shall
be used to aid the City in the improvement of the Katella AvenueNalley View Street
Intersection Improvement Project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the 23rd day of September, 1996.
