RESOLUTION NO. 4376
A RESOLUTION OF THE CYPRESS CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE
SUBMITTAL OF BALL ROAD AND VALLEY VIEW STREET INTERSECTION
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION
FUNDING PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS HEREBY RESOLVES,
DETERMINES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
(a) THAT, WHEREAS, the City of Cypress desires to implement the transportation
improvements at the intersection of Ball Road and Valley View Street;
(b) WHEREAS, the City of Cypress has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "turnback"
funds;
(c) WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways;
(d) WHEREAS, the City of Cypress will provide matching funds for each project
as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures
Manual;
(e) WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS hereby
requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts specified in
the City's application to said City from the Combined Transportation Funding Programs. Said
funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required and shall be used to aid the City in
the improvement of the intersection at Ball Road and Valley View Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the 26th day of September, 1994.
